You Select Your Flooring Product

With our design team on staff, we highly encourage our clients to access our showroom. You have over 10,000 square feet of space to browse products, from hardwood to tile. You can find dozens of styles that fit your budget and design preferences. If you're not quite in that place yet, you can do a few things to determine the right flooring product.

  1. Research online
The internet is a great place to start your search for the right flooring product. You can find various flooring options and compare features, prices, and reviews from different retailers and manufacturers. Browse our flooring catalog for hardwood, laminate, luxury vinyl plank, tile, and carpet options.
  2. Ask for recommendations:
Sometimes, the best insights come from those we trust the most. Ask your friends, family, or colleagues for recommendations based on their experiences with different types of flooring. You can also consult with a flooring expert or interior designer for their advice.
  3. Read product comparisons and reviews.
Reading customer reviews can give you an idea of the quality and durability of different flooring products. Look for reviews on manufacturer websites, online retailers, and independent review sites. Seek out objective reviews and testimonials from real homeowners.
  4. Consider your home's overall style.
Do your new floors look good with your cabinets? What about your paint color? Does your flooring choice compliment your home's overall decor style? Remember, a well-coordinated design creates a cohesive, inviting atmosphere that makes your house feel like home.

In-Home Consultation or Showroom Consultation

Both in-home and showroom product consultations have advantages and disadvantages; the choice ultimately depends on your specific needs and preferences.

In-home product consultations allow you and your flooring specialist to see your space and make recommendations based on the specific room and lighting conditions. They can also take measurements and provide an estimate for the cost of installation. This option is ideal if you want personalized recommendations for your space and need help visualizing how the flooring will look in your home.

On the other hand, showroom product consultations allow you to see a wider range of flooring products and compare them side-by-side. Our flooring shop has samples throughout that allow you to browse comfortably and easily. This option is ideal if you want to see and touch different types of flooring in person and have a better idea of how they will look in your home. Ultimately, both options can be helpful depending on your needs.

It would be helpful to schedule both an in-home consultation and a showroom visit to understand better the available options and how they will look in your space.

Measurements & Final Product Selection

When it comes time to take measurements of your home for new flooring installation, we use a laser measuring tool or a digital measuring app to take more precise measurements and create a detailed floor plan of the space.

During the measurement process, your flooring specialist will also take note of any irregularities in the flooring surface or subfloor, such as bumps, dips, or uneven areas. This information is vital for ensuring the new flooring is installed correctly and looks good in your home.

Once they take measurements, the flooring specialist will use them to calculate the amount of flooring material needed for the installation and provide you with an estimate of the project's cost. They may also recommend the best flooring options based on your home's measurements and specific features.

Installation & Project Completion

  1. Pre-Installation Preparation
You may need to prepare the space by removing furniture and other items from the area where our installation team will install the flooring. You may also need to remove the existing flooring. Your project manager and flooring specialist will work together to help you prepare for installation day. Check out our top tips on How to Prepare Your Home for Flooring Installation.
  2. Installation is in Progress
The installation typically involves laying down the new flooring according to the manufacturer's instructions. This may include installing an underlayment or moisture barrier and cutting and fitting the flooring pieces to fit the space.
  3. Final walkthrough & finishing touches
Once the flooring is installed, The installation crew will install the trim or molding to finish the look. Our installation crews will clean up, leaving the area clean. The timeline for installation can vary depending on the flooring type and space size.

Once installation is complete, you can enjoy your new flooring!
